Veterans Day 2025

blog

November is not only Movember, a month dedicated to raising awareness of men’s health, but it’s also the time when we observe Veterans Day. While we pause to thank our veterans for their service, it’s equally important to recognize the ongoing support they and their family caregivers may need.

Did you know that approximately 8.1 million veterans are over the age of 65? Nearly half of all veterans may require—or already need—assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Even younger veterans face high rates of physical challenges, including chronic neck and back pain, musculoskeletal injuries, fractures, and hearing loss. Yet arguably the most significant concern is mental health.

Today, more than 14 million Americans provide care for a service member or veteran. This support often comes from spouses and children, but can also include friends and neighbors.

Springpoint at Home offers meaningful ways to support veterans and their families. Our Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) can assist with ADLs, while our Aging Life Care Advisors™ provide comprehensive guidance for all aspects of life. From helping veterans access financial support through programs such as the Veterans Aid and Attendance Benefit to managing daily tasks—like accompanying a veteran to appointments, grocery shopping, or taking a pet to the vet—we’re here to help.

The true strength of our Aging Life Care Advisors™ lies in their deep knowledge of local, state, and federal resources, as well as the professional network of The Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA). This combination enables them to address the unique needs of veterans and their families in a way that makes a real difference.

If you or a loved one is a veteran, please reach out to learn more about Springpoint at Home’s services and how we can support you.
